This Escargot decanter from Riedel has a fabulous and unusual design in a shape that resembles a snail. It is exceptionally crafted with precision by the renowned glass manufacturer Riedel, who have being producing high quality decanters and wine glassware for over 300 years. New for 2011 this Escargot decanter is handmade and mouth blown by master glassmakers in Austria using lead crystal.

There are two main reasons why we decanter wines, firstly we decant older wines to separate it from its sediment, and we decant younger wines to increase oxygenation, reveal more complexity and open up aromas and flavours.
