Founded in 1797, Alexander Johnstone started trading linen and gradually working with wool, by 1810 they were established as a leader in the wool industry. To date they are still a family run business, producing the highest quality cashmere. The fibres come from the farthermost reaches of inner Mongolia to Scotland where they are refined by 30 different exacting processes, totally hand finished and finally cleaned using highland water which is said to make the cashmere so very soft. Their products are 100% in every way making them a perfect addition to our high quality collections.
