This Mumo Leblon Hake Leather cushion is in classic white and has a pretty texture. It is made from 100% Hake leather, which is sourced from the restaurant industry. This cushion is made in a tiny factory north of Rio de Janeiro which supports the local rural community. Every process in the factory is environmentally friendly including the water & dyes that are used which are 100% recycled. The fish skin is washed, tanned and then turned into leather using a vegetable bio degradable tannin agent. The dye used is actually a bio degradable disinfectant. Any waste water goes into a vat, is distilled and purified and then returned into the process. All remains are turned into compost and used to fertilise the land.

Mumo's range of cushions is inspired by Rio de Janeiro's urban beach style.  Mumo have a holistic approach to sourcing, which means their fabrics and products are both socially and environmentally responsible.
