This Miombo Woodlands scented candle comes in a 16cm high glass vase. The Miombo Woodlands in the heart of Southern Africa are the largest continuous dry deciduous forest in the world. It extends across the continent from East to West. The Miombo Woods are another key feature of African nature; this fragrance represents that. Subtly spiced with aniseed with cedar base notes, the anis scent of the Miombo Woodlands scented candle cuts through with warmth and intensity of fragrance. A deep chocolate brown tone of hand poured wax is the result, exquisit in its presentation. The Miombo Woodlands intensive aniseed aroma provides an evening of spice and excitement to enhance the senses, perfect for an entertaining area.

Each Miombo Woodlands scented candle is individually created, every material used is hand crafted and every gesture of finishing is hand made. Vases are blown piece by piece by craftsmen glassworkers making a unique model of each copy, cold cut and then hand polished. Even the packaging is admirably studied, in a immediately identifiable black box, strong but elegant. The Baobab collection is a beautifully created range of scented candles, iconic for its vibrant colours and exquisite hand crafted glass design. Inspiration stems from the South African plains, where it's natural fragrances are firmly connected with African heritage and its heartland.

Now available in Harrods and Selfridges and becoming ever more popular by the day with their rapidly growing fan base, Baobab Collection is “the” scented candle for the discerning customer. The Baobab collection was created in 2002 by Valérie Bietlot on a coffee table in her South African home. The range of scents chosen was inspired by the vast plains of the African bush. All products are packaged in luxury black boxes and make undeniably fantastic gifts for those who appreciate the finer things in life.

The candles come in various sizes; the “max number” referring to the candle’s height in cm. The largest scented candle they produce is the maxi max. It stands at 40cm high, has seven wicks and burns for an incredible 800 hours!
